For our July 10th Lunch and Learn, Greg Brooking will present “A Born Merchant: The Origins of Henry Laurens’s Trading Empire.”
Greg Brooking holds an BA, an MA, and a PhD in history. He is in his 32nd year of teaching, from middle school through college. His first book, From Empire to Revolution: Sir James Wright and the Price of Loyalty in Georgia, won the award for Outstanding Documentary History of Georgia. His current project is a biography of Henry Laurens titled, Henry Laurens: A Southern Founder. Greg will be speaking on his current project.
